Just a word about the Table Top Sale at the social centre this sunday from 10.30am: raising funds for the much valued toddler group for the village and for the social centre itself. Bouncy castle for the children: coffee & cake £2, lots of stalls: new stalls: cushions and fabrics, plants, book stall, toys, cosmetics and beauty, shabby chic for the home and more, nearly new stalls and a raffle with donations from: Wagstaffes, Mike Ralph, Cakes by Tracy Williams, Molibob Toy Store, Belton Cheese, Wines & Chocolates. Is anyone interested in joining a volunteer group to walk the Whixall parish footpaths and possibly help to maintain them where necessary. Each member could do as much or as little as they wanted … is excellent. I think this is a real coup for Whixall. Congratulations to all involved and I look forward to being a regular user. Is it possible to repair the edges of the lanes quicker? Whilst potholes are patched fairly quickly the road width is much reduced in some areas. Is there a need for more lane name signs in the parish? Visitors (including delivery drivers) may struggle to find their way once they take a wrong turning. |
